KIMIA® Assess is a full-body joint health assessment system that utilizes Artificial Intelligence technology to assess a patient’s joint health, including range of motion, pain scores and strength. The product can be used in outpatient clinic settings to establish a baseline, and identify areas which are abnormal. During the 1st consultation, the clinician can use this report as a handy tool to explain the patient’s pain points, and how the prescribed interventions such as pain-killers, outpatient physiotherapy, muscle relaxants and home exercise program would benefit their condition. The clinician would also set goals in terms of range of motion, pain and functional scores depending on a patient’s condition.
Further, when the patient visits the clinic for a follow-up visit, a 2nd pre-consultation assessment would be performed and the clinician would typically use this to evaluate and explain treatment effectiveness to the patient. This helps patients visualize and understand the improvements they have made, and the areas which still need attention. From a patient’s perspective, this has a direct impact on their satisfaction, motivation and compliance towards prescribed routines. From a clinical standpoint, objective assessments and documentation of joint health data leads to evidence-based progress tracking, that also helps to drive patient’s compliance and generate additional medical legal evidence regarding treatment effectiveness.
